The island of Lanzarote offers a great number of activities and places to visit to its visitors. It is placed on the east side of the Canary Islands; it has a width of around 13 miles and a length of 40 miles. It features a wonderful warm climate; this is one of its main appeals. Thanks to its warm temperature and lack of rain, the island of Lanzarote is the absolute ideal place for the tourist who is looking for a quality time on the beach or just about any outdoor activities he can think of. It offers lots of services and activities.
One of the most visited places by tourists on the island is the Limantaya National Park. This is also usually the first place where the tourists go. It is an amazing place, placed over a lava field of about 20 square miles, believe it or not. This lava field was put to use in around 1730. At that time a few volcanoes erupted in the area, leaving behind this huge "sea" of lava.
Another frequently visited tourist location on the island is The House of Cesar Manrique. It offers an interesting architectural style that has a very rich history behind it. It is basically interesting from every point of view. If you go to the central zone in Lanzarote near the House of Cesar Manrique, you will find the city of the island called Arrecife. This is the place to look for hotels, restaurants, shops and just about any other facility you need or want.
